MMSA OpenSciEd Foundations (6-12): Professional Learning for Science Teachers

MMSA is offering a virtual professional learning experience series designed for grades 6–12 educators who are using or exploring OpenSciEd:OpenSciEd Foundations (6-12): Professional Learning for Science Teachers

Session dates: August 12, 13, 14 ⎸ 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM EDT

This workshop is designed as a full learning experience, with participation across all three days and four monthly follow-up sessions throughout the school year.

Participants will:

• Experience OpenSciEd lessons from the student perspective

• Explore three-dimensional instruction and assessment

• Examine how units build over time

• Connect with other educators

• Gain classroom ready materials and resources, plus 24 contact hours

Across four sessions, you’ll step into the student role, work through real lessons, and leave with practical strategies you can bring directly into your classroom.
